I have so many followers who just do art for fun. Some of my students express remorse because they haven't used their materials since they attended class. There is nothing that says doing art is an obligation.
Students might be a reflection of your teaching but their accomplishments are their own. I am proud of what they do and pleased that they are doing so well.
Time management is key and while we have a lot on our to do list, we need to consider our priorities. Remember, it is just as important to spend time with friends and family as it is to get things done.
I may be reposting this blog, but I think it is still relevant. I was once told by someone, "there is no point in investing in people, you will never see a return." I believe they are wrong and I have a lifetime of experience that proves it to me.

Whether you want to be an artist or travel the world abroad; make sure you are doing what meets your priorities. Just because you want to travel, doesn't mean you are wrong. It is right for you. Making art is right for me.
