...serenity in motion
If at first you don’t succeed; try, try, push, drag….. Keep going?
I tell people all the time, Life is what happens when you are busy making plans. My goals are mine to work for but what happens when the apple cart is turned over and you are chasing little red orbs everywhere? I pick myself up and find a new way to do things.
My husband and I have just moved back to Spokane. I will be leaving my incredible workspace and vacating it in the middle of September. The house we have moved into is larger, but different. Instead of having everything in one amazing building, I will be storing things in different places in the new house. My framing table and frame storage will be in one place, my creative space in another, and my display equipment and inventory will be in a third.
My show vehicle, blew it’s engine. That is a hiccup. Well it is actually more like sever indigestion. That was a huge blow to my show schedule but, I will find a way to make it work. I have a truck and most of the shows will be fairly close for a few months. Moving to Spokane has given me some opportunities that I had lost and I will be able to offer regular classes here.
There are all sorts of sayings meant to help you pick yourself up off the floor but the old adage holds true; try and try again. If it is something that you want, it is worth pushing for. I have the will to find a way (having a life partner that tells me he is okay with it helps a lot too).
This is my choice, don’t think it is right for everyone. I don’t expect everyone to make these kind of decisions but if you do want to do something, remember it won’t always be easy. Be prepared to have to drag yourself over obstacles to achieve your goals and desires. Find a friend who is willing to give you some extra encouragement and keep moving forward.
